This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit www.eurovien.de and when you use our consultancy and recruitment services, why we process it, and which rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, in German: DSGVO) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
- We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and this website currently uses no analytics tools.
- Fonts and images are served from our own server — no data is sent to Google Fonts or other third-party content networks.
- We only pass your application documents to universities, training providers or employers after agreeing this with you.

03Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by [hosting provider, full address]. Each time you visit, the server automatically records technical information your browser sends:
- IP address
- date and time of the request
- the page or file requested and the referring URL
- browser type and version, and operating system
We use this data to deliver the website and keep it stable and secure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the reliable and secure operation of our website. Log files are deleted after [7] days unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident.

04Contacting us
When you contact us by email or through the enquiry form, we process the details you give us — usually your name, email address, the topic of your enquiry and your message — in order to answer you.
The enquiry form on this website does not send or store anything on our server. It opens your own email program with a prepared message, which you then send to us yourself. Your email is therefore processed by your email provider and by ours ([email provider]).
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a contract or steps before entering into one, and otherwise Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply (for example six years for business correspondence under § 257 HGB and § 147 AO).
05Our consultancy and recruitment services
When you use our services as a student, job seeker or employer, we process the following data as needed:
- identity and contact details (name, date of birth, nationality, address, email, phone number);
- CV, educational history, certificates, transcripts and language test results;
- study and career preferences, availability and — where required for admissions or visas — passport and residence details;
- for employers: contact persons, vacancy details and hiring requirements.
We use this data to advise you, prepare and review applications, match candidates with universities, Ausbildung providers and employers, and support interview preparation and relocation. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (performance of our contract with you, or steps prior to entering into it). Where we ask for your consent — for example before sending your profile to a specific employer — the legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, and you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
We do not intend to process special categories of personal data (Art. 9 GDPR, such as health data). If this is necessary in an individual case, we will only do so with your explicit consent.
Recipients
Universities and application services ([e.g. uni-assist]), vocational training providers, employers you have agreed to be introduced to, and IT service providers who process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
If a recipient is located outside the EU/EEA, we transfer your data only where the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision, where appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are in place, or where the transfer is necessary to perform the contract you have asked us to carry out (Art. 49 (1)(b) GDPR).
How long we keep your data

07Fonts and images
All fonts, images and logos on this website are served from our own server. Visiting the site does not open a connection to Google Fonts or any other third-party content delivery network.
08Encryption
For security reasons, this website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” at the start of the address and the lock symbol in your browser.
09Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15);
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
- have your data erased (Art. 17);
- restrict how we process your data (Art. 18);
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time and with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)).
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state where you live or work. 10Other information
You are not legally or contractually obliged to provide personal data. Without it, however, we may not be able to answer your enquiry or provide our services.
